V8 How To Save Fuel - Run Your Car On Water

Do you become angry from watching gas prices shoot up whenever the price of oil goes up even a little bit and waiting for gas prices to come back down after the price of oil drops? Maybe you have thought of buying a hybrid gas-electric car to lower your personal dependence on foreign oil. Maybe you wish there was a way to make the car you have run on alternative fuels.

V8 How To Save Fuel

The truth is there are things you can do with technology that is already available that will significantly lower your need to buy gas for your car. A hydrogen booster for your car will improve your gas mileage, clean carbon deposits out of your car's engine, and cause your fuel to burn more completely. It also reduces the hydrocarbon count from your exhaust pipes, increases your car's horsepower, and won't damage your car engine.

Water Cars

By adding a hydrogen booster to your car, you can make 1.5 liters per minute. The cell's plates will last at least a decade, and the kit to make a hydrogen booster only costs $175.00. You can add more of a boost with a $28.00 square wave pulse kit. The hydrogen booster produces electrolysis gas, or egas, that acts as a catalyst to your fuel, whether it's regular gasoline or diesel. The egas causes a more complete burn of hydrocarbons, making the exhaust gas cleaner. A hydrogen booster can be used with any internal combustion engine, including the one on your lawnmower.

Here's how it works. The 12 volts goes from your battery to two electrodes situated in a heatproof water container. The electricity causes separation of hydrogen gas on the cathode (the negatively charged electrode) and oxygen from the anode (the positively charged electrode) from using plain water supplemented with 1% to 3% solution of an electrolyte such as potassium hydroxide, or lye. The electrolyte solution can be purchased from a chemical supplier. The hydrogen and oxygen gases (egases) result in a clean burn and give your car more efficient combustion. If you burn all the egas while you drive, you won't risk the hazard of storing the egas.

For decades, universities, independent laboratories, and engineering associations have put together a body of test results and documentation that prove that adding small amounts of hydrogen to an internal combustion engine decreases toxic emissions, makes the engine perform better, and burns fuel more completely. Even if we only improved the efficiency of conversion for gasoline and diesel engines by 1%, we could reduce yearly consumption of fuel by a billion gallons each year.

Hydrogen powered cars are already being used in fleet vehicles in Japan and in parts of California. They promise zero emission hydrogen powered cars where the only by-product is water vapor Fossil fuel burning vehicles emit many pollutants, including carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, ozone, and particulates. Fossil fuel cars emit 1.5 billion tons of greenhouse gases every year, but switching to hydrogen-powered cars would eliminate most of these emissions. But another big bonus is that hydrogen powered cars will liberate drivers from dependence on OPEC and big oil companies.

While the infrastructure is not yet in place, California is trying to get funding for 200 hydrogen filling stations all the way down the west coast. This alone will make a huge impact, since Californians buy 20% of the cars sold in America. While hydrogen powered cars are on the horizon, hybrid gasoline-hydrogen cars can help ordinary people start making the transition away from fossil fuel engines right now. Other alternative fuel technologies include electrolyzing water, and using hydrogen peroxide for fuels (which is already used in race cars).

If you choose to add a hydrogen booster to your car, you should know that making egas from water is explosive and could be dangerous. You can't buy a manufactured hydrogen booster yet, so this is a DIY project at this time. If you make a hydrogen booster based on available plans, you must do it at your own risk. Safety is paramount. The most important rule is there is to be no sparks outside the water in your cell.

Never come in contact with your wire connections while the unit is operating because it could make a spark and a leaky egas hose could catch on fire. When you install a hydrogen booster, install a switch under the dashboard so you can shut it off if the car isn't running. Alternatively, you could hook up your hydrogen booster to the wiring in the ignition so that it only comes on when your ignition is turned on.

Hydrogen powered cars are the wave of the future, and you can start taking advantage of the hydrogen boost that an egas generator can give your gasoline or diesel powered car.

Acetone To Save Gas - Cutting Your Gas with Acetone

Today’s tip really isn’t a “tip” but more of a discussion in regards to cutting your gas with Acetone.
This topic is something I’ve received a lot of emails about, however I do not feel comfortable recommending it; the reason being I just don’t know enough about it to feel like I’m giving good advice that’s not going to ruin your car.

Acetone is a colorless, flammable liquid and its most common use is as nail polish remover but can also be used to make plastics, fibers, drugs and other chemicals. (from Wikipedia).

That’s all fine and great, but how did people get the idea that it would be good as a fuel additive? Well, some people believe that if you add small quantities of Acetone to gasoline, the Acetone helps to improve the fuel’s ability to vaporize completely as well as increase the burning temperature of the fuel. In turn, all this stuff (yes, that’s my technical jargon) supposedly helps increase gas mileage and possibly reduce emissions.

On the flip side, there have been plenty of reports that adding Acetone does not increase your vehicle’s fuel economy and because of it’s nature, over time may erode and weaken plastic and rubber in your car’s engine. I have also read that while the Acetone/gas mixture may increase fuel economy, when burned it produces less energy, causing you to use more of the mixture to get the same power. Since you are using more of the mixture, the benefits are a wash.

Long story short, I have not tried adding Acetone, but because so many people have asked about it, I felt it was worth addressing. I do not recommend it, however if you do your due diligence and find that it works, by all means post a comment to let everyone know. Or, if you have had a bad experience, post a comment as well.
